Ab nächster Woche können Bürger:innen, die sich zuvor in das Wählerverzeichnis haben eintragen lassen, den Migrantenbeirat der Stadt Leipzig wählen. Der Migrantenbeirat ist ein Fachbeirat des Stadtrates Leipzig. Er ist dafür zuständig, eine migrantische Perspektive in die kommunalpolitischen Diskussionen einzubringen und wirkt themenspezifisch an den Entscheidungen des Stadtrats mit.

Starting next week, citizens who have previously registered can vote for the Migrants‘ Council of Leipzig. The Migrants’ Council is an advisory committee of the Leipzig City Council and advises both the city administration and the City Council. In doing so, it brings the perspectives of migrants into city politics and influences the decisions of the City Council that migrants are particularly aff ected by.
